The project is looking at a skills capacity framework to assist in building resilience and provide pathways for drought recovery when rebuilding workforces. Regional Development Australia Loddon Mallee provided funding for a study to create a roadmap of next steps for implementation.

The project involves liaising /co-design with horticulture peak bodies, training providers, employers and employees. The aim is to build workforce capacity and resilience and reduce skills attrition during drought. The skills framework will enable workers to shift more easily between regional horticulture industries across the year.
