2023 0223 Anita Pearson Dookie visit 1940L-R: Dr Peter Fisher (Vic Hub Soil Co-ordinator), Dr Anita Peerson (Knowledge Broker, SNSW DRAIH), Professor Michael Tausz (Vic Hub Director), Lau Dr Vili Iese (Vic Hub Associate Director - Drought) and Sabine Tausz-Posch (Vic Hub Associate Director – Ag Innovation).

We had a great morning sharing information and ideas with Dr Anita Peerson, one of 30 Knowledge Brokers with the Southern NSW Drought Resilience Adoption & Innovation Hub, when she came to The University of Melbourne’s Dookie Campus today.

During part of Anita’s visit to the Victoria Drought Resilience Adoption & Innovation Hub’s HQ (which is based at Dookie), we talked about ways of taking innovation from research to the point of adoption in farming, as well as an in-depth discussion about science communication and research impact.

Along with her Southern NSW Hub role, Anita is a Knowledge Broker at ANU, and works closely with colleagues at the Centre for Entrepreneurial Agri-Technology (CEAT) and the Institute for Water Futures (IWF), which is directly involved in the new One Basin CRC.

Today’s meeting is a great example of collaboration between the Drought Resilience Adoption & Innovation Hubs!
