Vic Hub to share insights at FutureAg expo

The Victoria Drought Resilience Adoption & Innovation Hub is gearing up to make an impact at next week’s inaugural FutureAg Expo.

 

Opening Wednesday 17 April and running until Friday 20, the event will offer attendees an opportunity to gain valuable insights, with Vic Hub personnel speaking about sustainable supply chains, workforce management and agricultural innovation in drought resilience and preparedness as part of both The Expert Stage and conference.

Thursday, 18 April, Pip Grant – CEO of Vic Hub NE Node Riverine Plains – will be part of a panel discussing The Complexities of Sustainable Supply Chains. Pip’s extensive experience in the agricultural sector is expected to provide valuable perspectives on navigating the challenges and opportunities in building sustainable supply chains.

Also on Thursday, Grace Hosking, Project Manager at Vic Hub NW Node Birchip Cropping Group, will join the Workforce Panel to explore Securing, Managing, and Increasing AG Talent. Grace’s insights will shed light on strategies for attracting and retaining talent in the agriculture industry amidst evolving demands and technological advancements.

Later in the day, Fiona Best, Vic Hub Regional Director and CEO of BCG, will share her insights as part of the Industries Driving Innovation Series: Empowering Agricultural Innovation. Fiona’s dual role provides a unique perspective on driving drought-preparedness innovation and fostering collaboration within the agricultural community.

Then on Friday, April 19, Rhiannan McPhee, Project Manager at Vic Hub NE Node Riverine Plains, will take the stage to discuss opportunities for both farmers and job seekers in the agricultural landscape. Rhi’s session, as part of The Expert Stage, promises to provide practical strategies for leveraging current opportunities in the industry.
