Victorian Regional Soil Co-ordinator talks soils at Kyabram

 

The Vic Hub’s Soil Coordinator, Peter Fisher, was on site near Kyabram today at the Vic NoTill field day.

The day featured the latest research, industry representatives and on-farm experience, looking at different stubble management options in farming systems ranging from conventional to strip ‘n’ disc to multi-species to biological.

  • deep-ripping
  • slug control

Peter was encouraging farmers and agronomists to complete the national survey on the priorities for future investment in soil extension and research. The survey is open until 30 April 2024, for anyone involved in agriculture or NRM and can be accessed at http://tinyurl.com/soilgaps
