3 initial Drought Resilience Plans released for Victoria

See this blog on an approach to regional drought-resilience planning in the Wimmera.

With 8 of the 23 initial national Drought Resilience Plans now released, all 3 targeted Victorian regions were among the first crop published:

 

Professor Michael Tausz, Director of the Victoria Drought Resilience Adoption & Innovation Hub, said, “With the plans created through engaging local stakeholders to identify key insights, each of the three plans had different suggested action-priority areas – or themes – to build drought resilience.”

Theme 1: Resilient, connected and empowered communities

Theme 2: Sustainable management and use of natural resources

Theme 3: Resilient local businesses and regional economies

Theme 4: Innovation, research, knowledge sharing and skills development

Theme 5: Key enablers essential to effective collaboration and collective action
