Join the Vic Hub’s North-East Node, Riverine Plains, at their Innovation Expo.

This expo will focus on helping farmers future-proof and proactively manage their businesses in a rapidly changing global market.

Background:

Capturing data and using it to make decisions is becoming more important, especially when it comes to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. Banks, insurance providers and end-users are increasing their scrutiny of Australian farming and business practices, which has the potential to impact Aussie farmers’ capacity to operate.

Sharing data with end-users is one way that farmers can demonstrate their sustainability credentials and gain access to markets. But what exactly are the types of data needed, and how will farmers be required to collect and report on this in the future?

To address this, speakers will answer key questions over the course of the Expo, inclduing:

  • How can farmers proactively and efficiently approach data collection to meet supply chain requirements?
  • Are there technologies that can help make data collection and reporting easier?
  • What is the role of AI and can we trust it?
  • What about privacy?
  • Can this data be used to help improve our on-farm decision making and help us become more sustainable in the long-term?
