SFS LogoSOUTHERN FARMING SYSTEMS, THE VIC HUB’S SOUTH-WEST NODE, ARE HOSTING A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS ON UNCERTAIN TIMES – STRATEGIES TO PREPARE FOR SPRING.

Autumn and winter have been really tough and the outlook for spring is uncertain. How can we prepare our business to respond to whatever eventuates in spring and summer?

Producers and industry stakeholders are invited to two workshops:

  • Workshop 1 August – What pasture growth can be expected, what this means for carryover feed going into summer – do we retain or sell?
  • Workshop 2 September – Managing your productive base (pastures & livestock & containment)

These will be interactive and hands on workshops tailored to your region, to arm you with the know how, with 1:1 support available post workshop.

These workshops are FREE and will be limited to 20 participants per workshop.

Workshop series will explore:

  • What pasture growth can be expected, and what this means for carryover feed going into summer
  • Feed & Water Budgeting
  • Making the hard decisions to sell or retain stock

  • Opportunities for summer feed options
  • Ensuring breeders are in the right condition so we don’t compromise performance next year
