Join this workshop hosted by the University of Melbourne on sustainable practices that enhance drought resilience, diversify incomes, and reduce risks for farmers.

Key highlights include understanding the benefits of silica supplementation under stressed environments, the impact of dual-purpose crops and native vegetation on soil health, cost benefit analysis for farm profitability and hearing from project experts (Crop Scientist, Economist and Soil Scientist).   Participate in Q&A sessions with Jane Mcinnes from Riverine Plains, network with fellow farmers, and gain practical takeaways from two seasons project results to   improve your farm’s sustainability.  Join us to learn innovative practices and connect with a community dedicated to advancing agriculture in SE Australia.

Funded by Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and led by the University of Melbourne, the ‘Whole-systems Redesign of Broadacre Farming of SE Australia’ project was designed to evaluate and demonstrate proven farming practices to cope with and recover from climatic stresses like drought to an inclusive systems approach to diversified farming.

Morning tea provided.
